The point to point T-1 is a private T-1 between two locations that is capable of transporting 1.544Mbps (megabits per second) of data.  The type of data that is transported via this connection is up to the customer but many companies use this service to extend their data network to a secondary location.  A company can have more than one T-1 between the same two locations or they can have private T-1's to all of their locations from their headquarters.
